KAZ Minerals PLC announced production results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2019. For the quarter, the company reported copper production of 82.9 kt against 77.2 kt a year ago. Gold production of 58.5 koz against 45.2 koz a year ago. Silver production of 944 koz against 941 koz a year ago. Zinc production of 10.5 kt against 13.4 kt a year ago.

For the nine months, the company reported copper production of 230.5 kt against 216.8 kt a year ago. Gold production of 146.2 koz against 135.0 koz a year ago. Silver production of 2,496 koz against 2,578 koz a year ago. Zinc production of 28.9 kt against 38.3 kt a year ago.

The company provided production guidance for the fourth quarter and full year ending December 31, 2019. Copper production on track for full year guidance of c.300 kt and gold production= now forecast to exceed the top end of guidance of 170-185 koz by around 5%. Full year copper production expected to be at upper end of guidance range of 130-140 kt. Bozshako expected to achieve full year copper production guidance of 105-115 kt and the upper end of gold production guidance of 130-140 koz. Gold production, now forecast to exceed full year guidance of 40-45 koz.

In fourth quarter of 2019, copper production is expected to be less than third quarter of 2019 due to seasonally reduced oxide output, lower grades and scheduled maintenance at the sulphide plant in December. After a good third quarter, copper production at Aktogay is now expected to be at the upper end of the full year guidance range of 130-140 kt.
