Kagome Co., Ltd. revised earnings guidance for the year ended December 31, 2019. For the year, the company now expects revenue of JPY 180,800 million, core operating income of JPY 12,300 million, operating income of JPY 14,000 million, net income attributable to shareholders of the parent of JPY 10,100 million and earnings per share of JPY 114.00 against previous guidance of revenue of JPY 189,000 million, core operating income of JPY 12,600 million, operating income of JPY 13,600 million, net income attributable to shareholders of the parent of JPY 9,500 million and earnings per share of JPY 107.10.
Kagome Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture, purchase and sale of foods at home and abroad. The Company operates through four business segments. The Processed Foods segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of beverages and seasonings. The main products are the Vegetable Life 100 series, tomato juice, tomato ketchup, tomato seasonings, sauces, and products for mail order and gifts. The International Business segment is engaged in the tomato seed development and agricultural production, as well as product development, processing, and sales. The Agriculture segment is engaged in the production and sale of fresh vegetables. Products include fresh tomatoes, baby leaves, and others. The Other segment is engaged in the real estate business and outsourcing business.
