After 40 years of service and dedication, Sir John Alfred Sherry, founder and independent non-executive director of Jasco is retiring as a board member and will be emigrating permanently to Malta. His involvement within the Group is not entirely over as he will be consulting to Jasco, with a focus on expanding the business to the Middle East and North Africa.

Sherry founded Jasco in 1976 and served as Chairman until 1998. He was appointed non-executive director in 1998 and was honoured for his humanitarian deeds when he was knighted in Malta in 1998. He was granted the title of Chevalier.


Says Pete da Silva, CEO of Jasco, 'I would like to thank Sir John for his guidance, contribution to the success of the business and his involvement in the company over the last 40 years. We wish him every success with his new role of growing the business and expanding its footprint and opportunities.'
