Inovalon, Inc. announced that NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, LLC entered into a multi-year engagement to integrate Inovalon's advanced healthcare data analytics with NextGen(R) Share. Inovalon's partnership with NextGen Healthcare creates interoperability that efficiently automates medical record data extraction without burden to any onsite clinical resources. Utilizing the latest in interoperability standards and transport mechanisms, NextGen Share will provide Inovalon a mechanism whereby structured and unstructured data may be analyzed for all participating NextGen Healthcare clients.

Powered by Inovalon's big data analytics leveraging 8.3 billion medical events within its Medical Outcomes Research for Efficiency and Effectiveness Registry (MORE(2) Registry(R)), interoperability with NextGen(R) Share enables more rapid value creation through the resolution of care, quality, utilization, and disease status accuracy gaps. As capitated managed care continues to expand its membership through Medicare Advantage, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), managed Medicaid, and now the commercial Health Insurance Exchange (HIX), health plans are seeking a more efficient physician collaboration model to advance quality and risk score accuracy initiatives. Enabled by technological innovation, clinical healthcare data can more efficiently be abstracted and analyzed, and patient-specific healthcare gaps can be integrated directly into the physician's workflow through their Electronic Health Record (EHR).

This partnership empowers a valuable capability for NextGen Healthcare users, the health plans with which they work and the patients that they serve.
