IEnova has signed contracts with state utility CFE to build two solar parks after winning bids in the electric power auction last September 2016. The company will develop, build and operate the 41MW Rumorosa Solar plant, located close to its Energía Sierra Juárez win farm in Baja California state, and the 100MW Tepezalá II Solar PV facility in Aguascalientes state. The PV facility will be developed and built in consortium with Trina Solar, which will have a 10% stake. The investment for both projects, scheduled to enter operations in second quarter 2019, will total USD 150 million. The company through its subsidiaries will be responsible for all aspects of both projects, from procuring permits and the acquisition of land and access rights, to the engineering, procurement, construction, financing, operation and maintenance.
