Adam Archer has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Commercial Transformation to lead the IS Transformation programme within Trading, reporting to Commercial Director David Robinson. The role is key to bringing to life the strategic vision for Argos to be a digital retail leader, as announced to The City on 24 October 2012.    

Adam has 20 years of commercial retail experience built in the UK and Far East and joins from Marks & Spencer where he led the Strategic Planning team and then ran their China business. Prior to that he held several senior buying and merchandising roles in a number of leading retailers, including Arcadia, Oasis, Miss Selfridge and Sears. He holds an MBA from Edinburgh University.
