Group Five Ltd. is seeking to sell its construction materials division due to poor markets in Gauteng. Group Five which deals in construction services, materials and infrastructure investment said it was in discussions with several parties to dispose of businesses in the segment, one of four in the company.

Group Five is a building and civil engineering works organized around 4 areas of activity: - construction of buildings and civil engineering infrastructures (66.9%): roads, ports, airports, industrial sites, mining infrastructure, residential and non-residential buildings, etc. The group also provides engineering services primarily to mechanic, electricity and mining and petrochemical industries sectors; - manufacturing of building materials and steel products (15.1%): fiber-cement products, reinforcing bars, metal structures, profiles, etc.; - management under concession and infrastructure maintenance (13.5%).
