(Alliance News) - Greenthesis Spa let it be known Thursday that the three circular economy initiatives presented by the Group as part of the so-called "Lighthouse" projects have seen their inclusion confirmed by the Ministry of the Environment in the final rankings of project proposals deserving to be co-financed with funds allocated by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The first initiative, promoted by Greenthesis, concerns the treatment of decommissioned wind turbine blades that have reached the end of their useful life with the aim of recovering, through a special treatment and valorization process, the fiberglass of which they are composed, going on to produce a second raw material to be reintroduced into the production cycle.

The second, promoted by subsidiary C.R., concerns the recovery and valorization, through a pyrolysis process, of end-of-life plastics that cannot be recycled, resulting in a mineral oil that can be reused in the production chain of new materials.

Finally, the third initiative of the subsidiary Gea, concerns the recovery of pre- and post-consumer textile materials, from which to derive a second raw material in the form of regenerated fiber, to be used in spinning, as well as in the production of nonwoven fabric or as padding/insulation.

Obtaining co-funding under the NRP will be in the form of contributions to the costs of carrying out the works.

The publication of the decrees granting the PNRR contributions, which will then make the stages of project implementation executable, is expected by the end of the current month of January, with the activation of subsequent stages also related to the monitoring and reporting of project expenses.

Greenthesis trades in the red by 0.4 percent at EUR0.93 per share.
