GCL-Poly Convenes 2014 Annual Work Conference

GCL-Poly organised a successful work conference for 2014 in Xuzhou on 17th and
18th January. The conference thoroughly and systemically looked at GCL-Poly's fruitful efforts in 2013 at sharpening up its specialised manufacturing expertise and technological R&D, innovating business models, penetrating new markets, boosting its brand influence and pushing ahead with polycrystalline silicon trade remedy investigations. The Company vowed to grasp opportunities, press ahead with reform initiatives and management innovation in 2014 when the industry is expected to recover. It aimed at full implementation in terms of project progress, new product development and brand building, ensuring the fulfillment of various business targets.
Shu Hua, Executive President of GCL-Poly, expressed in the Company's annual overview and planning report that, in the coming three years, the Company will continue to boost the strategic layout whereby upstream drives mid-and-down streams, deepen primary business, promote the support to power plant operation and build one-stop service platform. With regard to capacity planning, the Company will maintain steady growth in virtue of product innovation, further enrich future product mix and expand new product technological route, with a view to tender customers' demand for high-efficiency silicon wafer products. To fulfill these objectives, Shu Hua indicated that, the Company should continue to deepen organisational transformation, streamline HR structure, accelerate science & technology linkage, optimise assets structure, enhance brand awareness and guarantee safety. In addition, Shu Hua enumerated 10 key implementation projects

of 2014, as specific action plan and implementation approach, including Zhongneng Self-Sufficient Power Plant, FBR Project Phase I Engineering, Diamond Wire Slice Engineering Project, GPW Project, PR for All-Monocrystal Cast Ingot Process, PR for High-Efficiency PV Power Generation System, CRM, PV Cloud Merchant Platform, etc.
The conference was chaired by chief operating officer Zhang Xiang. GCL Group President Tang Cheng and managers of relevant business divisions were invited to the conference to give guidance. There were over 80 attendees at the conference, including the management staff from GCL- Poly PV Business Management Centre and its departments, three major business divisions and subsidiaries and representative offices in Taiwan and Hong Kong. On the morning of 18th January, Poly-GCL Executive President Shu Hua and managers responsible for technology, finance and sales departments, as well as responsible officers of the business divisions and subsidiaries signed letters of responsibility for the annual targets based on the conference consensus, which further break down various business metrics to facilitate execution in 2014.
