Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach announced an expansion of its senior management team with the appointment of Melissa Lanfre as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In this newly created role, Lanfre assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily operations that support the company's 21 community banking offices in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Lanfre becomes part of a five-member executive management team, led by Daniel Walker, chairman of the board and chief executive officer, and Henry Walker, president.

Lanfre joins the company with more than 30 years of banking experience. Prior to joining the bank, Lanfre held a 10-year career with Beach Business Bank (acquired by First PacTrust Bancorp in June 2012), where Lanfre most recently served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Lanfre previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Century Housing Corporation, Cerritos Valley Bank, First Professional Bank and Harbor Bancorp.
