The term "Industry 5.0" found its official status with the publication of the European Commission's policy briefing in January 2021. It defined the foundations of the growth of industry in Europe, with a vision that goes beyond efficiency and productivity as the only objectives and that strengthens its role and contribution to society.

Industry 5.0 aims to integrate and overcome the Industry 4.0 approach by specifically putting research and innovation at the service of a sustainable, human-centred and resilient transition of the manufacturing sector, with a review of existing value chains and energy consumption practices.

Industry 5.0 goes beyond the paradigms of Industry 4.0, aimed exclusively at maximizing production efficiency, favoring circular economy models and adopting technologies which rationalize the use of natural resources with a beneficial reduction in their environmental impact.

The governments of several European countries, including Italy, are preparing incentives to support the digital and energy 5.0 transformation of companies, requiring a demonstrable decrease in the energy used by plants as a condition for accessing the benefits provided.

Well ahead of other key players in the sector, Esautomotion presents a "device+software" suite designed specifically for companies that intend to re-enter Industry 5.0 and possibly take advantage of the related tax advantages.

Esa 4to5 uses a "plug&play" EnergyMeter to detect energy consumption and a Data Logger installed on the machine to transmit the data to an ERP or an external PC. It is marketed in various configurations, also including the possibility of simultaneously collecting the plant's production data.
