Endurance Insurance's Inland Marine unit has enhanced their alliance with the National Equipment Register (NER), a division of Verisk Analytics' ISO Crime Analytics unit, which provides services to help prevent equipment theft and reduce the recovery time and costs associated with stolen equipment.

NER's HELPtech database, the only national registration system for construction and agricultural equipment, deters theft with identifying decals on registered equipment and provides law enforcement access to identifying information for stolen equipment, increasing the speed of recovery.

Endurance offers free HELPtech registration for certain classes of their insureds' equipment and reduced pricing on additional equipment. In addition, Endurance waives deductibles up to $10,000 on stolen equipment registered under this program.

IRONwatch, another service offered exclusively by NER, is a wireless GPS tracking and recovery device designed for mobile heavy equipment which delivers quick and accurate location and recovery information for misplaced or stolen equipment to equipment owners and law enforcement.  Endurance Insurance pays the theft activation fee for policy holders who purchase and install an IRONwatch™ equipment tracking device.  The activation fee is assessed when an insured's IRONwatch device is activated and a theft is reported to law enforcement.

"We continually look for new and innovative ways to reduce the costs of equipment theft for our insureds," said Chris Beckman, VP Risk Management and Operations in Endurance's Inland Marine insurance unit. "NER has helped equipment owners to deter theft and recover millions of dollars of stolen equipment nationwide and we are pleased to expand our relationship with them to include their HELPtech database."
