CES (Booth #9839) -- DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq:DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio enhancement technologies, announced today that it has teamed up with Internet Video Archive (IVA), the world's leading online movie trailer service, to provide consumers access to the latest cinematic movie trailers in immersive DTS-HD® surround sound. By encoding IVA's movie trailer library in the DTS-HD codec, IVA will be able to provide a rich, immersive, cinematic surround sound experience to customers streaming to the latest game consoles connected to a home theater system, or provide an immersive DTS Headphone:X TM experience to consumers streaming to a DTS Headphone:X equipped mobile device.

The streaming profile of DTS-HD is a high performance discrete multi-channel audio codec designed to enable streaming services to deliver content to consumers in immersive, high-quality 5.1 surround sound.

"Watching trailers on mobile devices and on game consoles are the two fastest growing parts of our business, so we are excited to be working with DTS to offer consumers movie trailers presented in DTS-HD. We know they will enjoy experiencing the same cinematic sound heard at the theater whether in the comfort of their own homes, or on the go," said Rhodes Mason, SVP of Business Development at Internet Video Archive.

"DTS is committed to delivering the industry's most immersive streaming audio solutions and is dedicated to making all kinds of entertainment content to provide a memorable listening experience," said Geir Skaaden, senior vice president, products and platforms, DTS. "Movie trailers are no exception, and we are excited to be working with IVA to deliver their trailers in DTS-HD surround sound, and are confident that consumers will love the added entertainment value that having cinematic surround sound adds to the at-home or mobile viewing experience."

IVA plans to start streaming movie trailers in immersive DTS-HD surround sound at the end of Q1 2014.
