DS Co.,Ltd. is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and marketing of backlight units (BLUs). The Company produces BLU of thin film transistor-liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), which are used for laptops, monitors, televisions and others. It also engages in the manufacture and sale of lighting emitting diode (LED) products, such as LED lightings and LED packages. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets. On April 26, 2011, the Company changed its name from DSLCD Co., Ltd. to DS Co.,Ltd. On November 19, 2012, the Company sold shares of DS ASIA HOLDINGS CO., Ltd. After the transaction, the Company's stake in DS ASIA HOLDINGS CO., Ltd decreased to 24.4% from 83.3%.
