SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank announced today that it has appointed Tony Kallingal as senior vice president and regional manager of its eleven branches throughout the Bay Area.

Based in the Walnut Creek Center, Kallingal, will be a regional manager with City National Bank's Core Banking team and his primary day-to-day focus is delivering strategic guidance to colleagues and clients in both preferred and business banking.

Prior to joining City National, Kallingal worked at Mechanics Bank in Northern California for 14 years, where he held the position of senior vice president and division manager of the business banking group. Kallingal managed the middle market lending outlets for the bank's retail locations, as well as its commercial lending hubs.

"Tony brings with him a wide range of experience and expertise managing both commercial and branch banking professional teams."

All the branches in Northern California will report to Kallingal and he will report directly to Dunigan.

"We are growing rapidly in Northern California, serving the financial needs of more families, professionals and entrepreneurs," said Michael Walker, executive vice president and regional manager for Northern California with City National. "Tony will help us accelerate that growth."
