Champion Industries Inc. reported unaudited earnings results for fourth quarter and full year ended October 31, 2011. For the fourth quarter, the company reported total revenues of $33,498,000 compared to $31,918,000 a year ago. Net loss was $5,418,000 or $0.48 per basic and diluted share compared to net income of $938,000 or $0.09 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Core net income was $245,000 compared to $593,000 a year ago.
The company reported total revenues of $128,521,000 for the year ended October 31, 2011 compared to $129,934,000 for the year ended October 31, 2010. Net loss was $3,976,000 or $0.38 per basic and diluted share compared to net income of $488,000 or $0.05 per basic and diluted share a year ago. On a core net income basis the company reported net income of $1,042,000 or $0.10 per share compared to $998,000 for the years ended October 31, 2010. The results for 2011 over 2010 reflected a substantial decrease in earnings, primarily as a result of non-cash impairment related charges associated with goodwill, trade name and masthead in the amount of $8.7 million or $5.4 million net of tax or $0.52 per share on a basic and diluted basis.

Its promotional products include apparel, bags, drinkware, and others.
