Castleton Technology plc announced the changes to the board of directors, which form part of the company's strategy of building an IT Managed Services business focused on the public and not for profit sectors. Phil Kelly joins the company with immediate effect as senior independent non-executive director. Phil brings a thirty year track record of leading successful companies within the technology sector, having worked with both quoted and private equity backed businesses.

Phil will sit on both the audit and remuneration committees. Richard Ramsay, non-executive director, will step down from the board having successfully presided over the restructuring of Redstone and subsequent demerger of Redcentric plc. Haywood Chapman will join the company on 1 December 2014 as finance director.

Haywood has significant technology sector expertise having held senior finance roles at FTSE 250 and Fortune 300 companies. Most recently Haywood has been Group Financial Controller of Infinity SDC. Spencer Dredge, who has served as the finance director on an interim basis will step down on 1 December but will remain as a consultant to the Company for a period of time in order to effect a smooth handover.
