Piehota, a graduate of Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has been appointed Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI's Buffalo Division by FBI Director Robert S. Mueller. He most recently served as the deputy director for operations at the Terrorist Screening Center. Piehota earned a PhD in Education from Capella in 2010. SAC Piehota began his FBI career in 1995 as a special agent in the Newark, New Jersey, Field Office, where he investigated international terrorism, domestic terrorism and weapons of mass destruction matters. In 2010, he joined the Terrorist Screening Center and was responsible for managing the United States Government's Consolidated Terrorist Watchlisting and Screening Database and Terrorist Encounter Operations Center.
