L Brands announced sales results for the five weeks and forty-eighth week's period ended December 30, 2017. For the five weeks, the company's total sales were $2.516 billion, a 3% increase over sales of $2.438 billion for the five weeks ended December 31, 2016. Comparable sales increased 1% for the five weeks ended Dec. 30, 2017. 

For the forty-eighth weeks, the company reported net sales of $11.592 billion compared to net sales of $11.769 billion for the 48 weeks ended Dec. 31, 2016.  Comparable sales decreased 4% for the 48 weeks ended Dec. 30, 2017.

The company expects to report fourth quarter earnings per share of about $2 compared to previous guidance of $1.95 to $2.10.
