DUE DILIGENCE PROCESS: CARIGE APPOINTS GIANNI & ORIGONI AS

LEGAL ADVISOR

Genoa, 17 January 2022 - Banca Carige appointed the law firm Gianni & Origoni as legal advisor to support the Bank in managing the data room for the due diligence process aimed at defining a potential acquisition agreement by the BPER Banca Group ("BPER") of the controlling interest held by the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund ("FITD").

This communication follows up on the press releases issued by FITD and by BPER on 10 January 2022, as well as by Banca Carige on 14 January 2022.

The team of the law firm Gianni & Origoni that will support the Bank will be led by lawyer Antonio Segni.
