Balaji Amines Ltd. reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company's total income from operations was INR 1,077.462 million compared to INR 1,126.069 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 133.455 million compared to INR 194.268 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 96.299 million compared to INR 161.675 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was INR 72.264 million or INR 2.23 per basic and diluted share after extraordinary items compared to INR 107.717 million or INR 3.32 per basic and diluted share after extraordinary items a year ago.
For the nine months, the company's total income from operations was INR 3,703.155 million against INR 3,312.994 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 531.044 million against INR 528.287 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 369.212 million against INR 416.960 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was INR 254.841 million or INR 7.87 per basic and diluted share after extraordinary items against INR 285.674 million or INR 8.82 per basic and diluted share after extraordinary items a year ago.
