Avia (AIM: AVIA), the developer and provider of clinical decision support and communication facilitation to manage referrals systems, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Plain Healthcare Ltd ("Plain") has signed a new contract for the sale of Odyssey CareAssess to NHS Telford in the West Midlands. Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group ("Telford & Wrekin CCG"), an emerging clinical commissioning group in the West Midlands, will deploy Odyssey CareAssess as a fully managed hosted service supplied by Plain Healthcare across four care homes in their region with full service delivery scheduled for April 2012.

Odyssey CareAssess has been designed specifically for nursing and residential care homes and draws on Plain's 17 years of experience within the healthcare industry. It enables both clinical and non- clinically trained staff to offer residents the best possible care and support in the event of illness or injury, 24 hours a day. By providing users with easy to follow clinical decision support and advice, Odyssey CareAssess assists staff in making rapid, accurate assessments, selecting the appropriate course of action, and so ensuring the best quality of care. Using advanced touchscreen technology, this intuitive solution is easy to use, resulting in a detailed clinical summary of the patient's needs.
