Audi launched its most powerful sportscar, the RS7 Sportback, in India at a price of INR 12.9 million (USD 207,100). Powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 560 PS (552 bhp) of peak power and 700 Nm of peak torque, the RS7 Sportback accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 3.8 seconds, with an option that enables a top speed of 305 km/hr. Power is delivered by Audi's trademark Quattro all-wheel-drive system through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The vehicle features 20-inch wheels and a reworked rear bumper with the trademark RS-spec oblong exhausts on either side. Due to a hybrid aluminium body, it weighs 15% less than a comparable all-steel body and consumes on average just 9.8L of fuel per 100 km, the company claims. Audi India head Joe King said that the company will also launch its compact sedan A3 in India within a few months. The A3 will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo and will be subsequently launched commercially.
