Audi AG, is launching its new Third Quarter in India in 2018. The vehicle will be followed by an all-electric or a plug-in hybrid variant, or both. The model will make use of the new Volkswagen e-Golf's platform when it arrives in all-electric version. That will provide the electric Third Quarter with an electric engine of 115bhp and 290 Nm of torque from a 35.8kWh battery pack. It is expected that the Audi is to be equipped with a larger battery pack to provide the vehicle a longer range compared to the e-Golf. The plug-in hybrid is to be given Audi's 'e-tron' name and have a 1.4-litre TFSI engine working in conjunction with an electric motor. The electrification push is a part of Audi's plan to launch 30 or more electric vehicles by 2025. The automaker has stated its intention to launch a new electric vehicle every year, starting 2018.
