North Queensland Airports Pty Limited may be acquired. Firms have been eyeing a 24.6% stake in North Queensland Airports. Street Talk reported that First First NZ Capital Securities Limited and Credit Suisse are in the market with the North Queensland Airports stake on behalf of existing investor Auckland International Airport Limited (NZSE:AIA). The stake is understood to have attracted interest from Australian regional airport tyrekickers, including Infrastructure Capital Group Ltd, AMP Capital Investors Limited and Palisade Investment Partners Limited. The news report stated that the stake is expected to be worth AUD 100 million to AUD 150 million. Auckland International Airport told shareholders recently that it had seen "strong buyer interest" in the non-core asset, and was progressing plans to sell the stake.
