Arjo AB Announces Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended December 31, 2017

Arjo AB announced earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net sales fell 4.9% to SEK 2,068 million compared to SEK 2,174 million a year ago. Net sales decreased organically by 1.8%. The adjusted organic net sales is estimated to increase by 0.4%. Adjusted EBITDA declined to SEK 240 million compared to SEK 422 million a year ago. Result after financial items declined to negative SEK 75 million compared to positive SEK 111 million a year ago. Loss per share declined to SEK 0.25 compared to EPS of SEK 0.29 a year ago. Cash flow from operations amounted to SEK 175 million compared to SEK 196 million a year ago.
For the year, the company reported net sales fell 1.5% to SEK 7,688 million compared to SEK 7,808 million a year ago. Net sales decreased organically by 1.6%. The adjusted organic net sales is estimated to decline by 1.0%. Adjusted EBITDA fell to SEK 1,246 million compared to SEK 1,610 million a year ago. Result after financial items declined to SEK 179 million compared to SEK 671 million a year ago. Earnings per share declined to SEK 0.43 compared to SEK 1.80 a year ago. Cash flow from operations amounted to SEK 572 million compared to SEK 919 million a year ago.
