Phil Wood joins Missouri American Water as Vice President of Operations St. Louis County, MO (January 5, 2015) Phil Wood has joined Missouri American Water as Vice President of Operations. Working out of the company's St. Louis County office, Wood will lead all aspects of Missouri American Water's water and wastewater operations serving 1.5 million people across the state.

Phil has more than 21 years of operations leadership experience in manufacturing, with a focus on safety, applied Six Sigma methodology and quality performance. He held several positions of increasing responsibility at General Electric in the Transportation, Healthcare and Aviation segments. He most recently served as general manager for Continental Carbonic Products, headquartered in Decatur, Illinois.
"Every day, Missouri American Water teams deliver more than 230 million gallons of quality water to homes and businesses; and we collect and treat wastewater at 52 systems across our state," said Missouri American Water President Frank Kartmann. Phil holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in West
Lafayette, Indiana.
