Alok Industries Limited reported unaudited standalone and consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2020. For the quarter, on standalone basis, the company reported total income of INR 11,814.7 million against INR 8,275.0 million a year ago. Net loss for the period was INR 287.5 million or INR 0.06 per basic and diluted share against INR 1,894.6 million or INR 1.38 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the nine months, on standalone basis, the company reported total income of INR 23,209.4 million against INR 25,223.1 million a year ago. Net loss for the period was INR 57,786.2 million or INR 17.34 per basic and diluted share against INR 4,095.6 million or INR 2.99 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported total income of INR 12,207.1 million against INR 8,772.3 million a year ago. Net loss for the period was INR 351.2 million or INR 0.07 per basic and diluted share against INR 1,944.9 million or INR 1.42 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the nine months, on consolidated basis, the company reported total income of INR 24,172.3 million against INR 26,029.7 million a year ago. Net loss for the period was INR 51,732.1 million or INR 15.52 per basic and diluted share against INR 5,572.0 million or INR 3.53 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
Alok Industries Limited is an India-based vertically integrated textile company with integration in both cotton and polyester segments. In the cotton segment, the Company is integrated right from spinning to weaving, processing, finished fabrics, bedsheets, towels and garments. In the polyester segment, the integration is from continuous polymerization where PTA and MEG are used to make melt to produce polyester chips to partially oriented yarn (POY), fully drawn yarn (FDY), drawn texturized yarn (DTY) and polyester staple fiber (PSF). Its products include polyester, spun yarns, apparel fabrics, home textiles, garments, textile accessories, technical textiles and corrugated packaging. Its plants are situated at Vapi (in Gujarat) and Silvassa (part of a Union Territory near Vapi). The Company has a customer base across the world that includes global retail brands, textile importers, private labels, and domestic retailers, garment and textile manufacturers and traders.
