Novosibirsk airport rated the top punctual airlines

Following the results in June 2014, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport announced the most punctual operators among passenger airlines.

Being on the list already for the third time, AK Bars Aero OJSC demonstrated the highest performance operating scheduled flights from Novosibirsk to Chelyabinsk and Kazan. The second place is occupied by YAMAL Airlines OJSC which performs flights to Yekaterinburg, Nizhnevartovsk, Tyumen and Ufa. China Southern Airlines completes the top three list operating on Urumqi (China) route.


The key performance criterion is departure punctuality of the companies performing flights from Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport. On-time departure facilitates improvement of the aircraft ground handling services as well as the passenger service level for those who choose Novosibirsk airport as a point of their travel.

Based on the ranking results, all mentioned companies received the official letters of gratitude signed by the General Director of Airport Tolmachevo OJSCEvgeniy YANKILEVICH.

Punctuality performance ratings are introduced by NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport since April 2014. According to the first published punctuality figures, the highest performance rates were achieved by such airlines as UTair Express LLC, AK Bars Aero OJSC and TAIMYR Air Company OJSC (Nordstar). In May the leaders were AK Bars Aero OJSC, RusLine CJSC, YAMAL Airlines OJSC. Novosibirsk airport plans to mark and award the most punctual airlines as a year-end bonus.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airportis the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic terminal capacity makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the capacity on international flights - up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO CAT I and CAT II. In 2013 the passenger traffic exceeded 3.7 mln passengers and cargo traffic totalled 29.9 thousand tons of cargo and mail handled.In 2014 the airport expects to serve over 4.2 mln passengers and handle over 32 thousand tons of cargo and mail.
