Aerodrom Ljubljana dd : Aegean Airlines connecting Ljubljana and Athens

Aegean Airlines, Greece's largest airline, is launching two weekly flights between Ljubljana and Athens. The flight service will be operated from 15 June until the end of September 2016. It will provide Ljubljana Airport passengers with a direct link to the Greek capital and onward connectivity throughout the Greek islands and mainland Greece. The airline will also strengthen charter connections from Ljubljana Airport to Greece's islands, introducing flights to Corfu and Rhodes.

Ljubljana Airport passengers are now one step closer to exploring colourful Greece. Aegean Airlines, Greece's largest airline and a Star Alliance member, is launching two weekly flights between Ljubljana and Athens. The flight service will be operated with two weekly flights (Wednesdays and Saturdays) from 15 June until the end of September 2016. Today Aerodrom Ljubljana welcomed the first plane of Aegean Airlines from Athens with a water salute from the airport's firefighting vehicles.

Passengers will be able to fly to Athens, the world's ancient capital, already from 64 euros (one way flight ticket including taxes), promotional flight offers are also available for connecting flights to numerous destinations throughout the Greek islands (for example Santorini, Samos, Kos, Heraklion, Thessaloniki) and mainland Greece. Over and above the domestic connections, Ljubljana-Athens service offers a high number of connecting opportunities to cities in the neighboring countries such as the Balkans and Turkey as well as cities in the Middle East.

Greece is an extremely popular summer destination among Slovene holidaymakers and tourists from neighbouring countries, which use Ljubljana Airport as their starting point. With charter flights to Corfu and Rhodes Aegean Airlines will importantly strengthen connectivity with Greek islands.
