(Reuters) - The District of Wells in the Canadian province of British Columbia issued an evacuation order for some areas due to wildfires late on Wednesday, the local authority said in a statement.
An evacuation alert, which advises citizens to be prepared to leave at short notice, has been issued for most of the District of Wells and the Barkerville-Cornish Mountain Fire Area in the Cariboo Regional District, also in British Columbia in western Canada.
