WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will undergo a non-surgical procedure on Friday related to his previously reported prostate cancer, the Pentagon said.
Austin will be temporarily unable to perform his functions during the minimally invasive procedure and Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks will assume his duties, the Pentagon said in a statement.
