UKIP London Mayoral candidate Peter Whittle responding to the launch of Zac Goldsmith's Mayoral campaign said, 'Zac Goldsmith's promise of 50,000 new homes is - like all previous targets - pointless if he doesn't even mention the chief driver of London's housing crisis, which is the unprecedented levels of migration into the capital in recent years.

'The London Mayor is in a unique position from which to lobby government for a proper, controlled immigration system, one that would ease not just the capital's housing crisis but also the strain on social services, education and hospitals. As UKIP's candidate, I see this as the number one priority.'
