UK says trade row de-escalation is top priority for first U.S. meeting

LONDON (Reuters) - British trade minister Liz Truss said on Friday the de-escalation of existing trade disputes would be her top priority when she conducts her first meeting with the new administration of U.S. President Joe Biden.

"On the top of my priority list is first of all, de-escalating some of the immediate trade tensions - so for example, the steel dispute, the Airbus-Boeing dispute," Truss said.

"We shouldn't been in a position where the UK, the EU and the US have tariffs on each other. We need to work together."
