A rescue operation involving Polish and Czech workers was underway to find the third person who was probably involved in the accident, Edyta Bagrowska from the district police unit in Jelenia Gora told the broadcaster.
"Polish and Czech rescue services are working on the scene. We are still looking for a third person who was most likely also there," she said.
The nationality of the hikers is not known yet, TVN24 said.
