Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and Stanford Children’s Health have recently appointed two new board members for 2016: Christie Coleman, MD, an obstetrician-gynecologist at Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) and Amit Sinha, a managing director at Goldman Sachs.

Coleman, who joined PAMF in 1996, has served as chair of the OB-GYN department since 2001. She is responsible for administrative functions of the multi-specialty practice group and maintains hospital privileges at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, Stanford Health Care, Menlo Park Surgical Hospital, and the Surgecenter at PAMF. Coleman has been a member of the Quality Assurance Committee in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford Health Care since 2000 and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1995.
Since 2004, Coleman has served as liaison to the Advanced Access Improvement Working Group at Palo Alto Medical Clinic. She previously served on the Surgecenter Medical Advisory Board for quality of care and the Medical Advisory Board for BabyCenter.com. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stanford in 1987 and her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1991. Coleman completed her internship in 1992 and residency in 1995, both at Stanford Health Care.
At Goldman Sachs, Sinha is a senior member of the Healthcare Investment Banking Group and has leadership responsibility for the firm’s biotechnology business. Prior to this role, he was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2004 as an associate, was promoted to vice president in 2007 and was named managing director in 2012.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Sinha worked at The Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on corporate strategy and operational improvements for Fortune 500 companies. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with dual honors in biological sciences and ethics in society from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Sinha also serves as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.
