MOI:

Director of Traffic Culture of the General Directorate of Traffic highlighted on Sunday the withdrawal of 23 driving and driving learning licences for those involved in fatal and serious injuries accidents in November and December.

He said that the court ordered the withdrawal of 21 driving licences of Bahrainis and foreign drivers for causing fatal accidents while driving under the influence and crossing red signal, in addition of the licence of a Bahraini female for causing a fatal accident for her lack of concentration . An expatriate driver lost his licence for causing an accident with serious injuries, while one driving learning licence was withdrawn.

HE said that the department took the legal procedures against the drivers short after the cases were reported and referred them to the Traffic Public Prosecution and then to the lower criminal court.

He called upon drivers to be cautious while driving and follow traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
