The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui celebrated the grand opening of its new, multi-million dollar Willow Stream Spa with a rock & roll-themed VIP opening event on Sunday, January 26, 2014. KISS band members and 2014 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were guests of honor at the red carpet affair.
Simmons and Stanley flashed the Hawaiian shaka for photographs and signed guitars, t-shirts KISS trading cards and other memorabilia for the VIP guests. Rock & roll-themed signature spa services, including hot 'rock' neck massages, a KISS-themed manicure station and a rockin' red lipstick bar, played center stage at Maui's hottest event. In true rock & roll form, chilled Veuve Clicquot champagne and cocktails on the rocks accompanied signature sushi rolls from the resort's award-winning Ko restaurant.
Simmons and Stanley were visiting Maui for the ribbon-cutting and blessing of their new Rock & Brews Restaurant in Pa'ia. Following the event, the Grammy-nominated artists, along with Rock & Brews owners and partners, dined at The Fairmont Kea Lani's Ko restaurant. Resort guests, diners and fans were elated when Simmons and Stanley performed "Hard Luck Woman," the lead single from their 1976 album, Rock and Roll Over.
