At ProMat 2013, Supply Chain Industry Veteran John P. Reichert Explains: Optimizing Both Performance and Visibility in Service Parts Execution

MONTREAL, January 14, 2013-TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), Supply chain execution and warehouse management industry veteran, John P. Reichert, an expert with some 25 years of strategic and operational experience helping deliver significant and innovative solutions to such companies as Frito-Lay, Canon, McKesson Health, Cardinal Health, Entertainment One and many others, will be a speaker at the ProMat 2013 Seminar Program. Mr. Reichert will address one of the most vital issues today in customer service "Performance and Visibility" of service parts in a distribution network.

Synopsis What You Will Learn

Service parts supply chains have inherently different challenges than traditional distribution networks. A very dispersed supply chain coupled with part identification complexity in receiving/shipping, unpredictable demand profile and limited inventory visibility across the network lead to low turns, low fill rates and dissatisfied customers. If you are working in a complex service parts environment-whether for internal use, distributed depots, or customer site stocking locations-you will find insights from this session.

Key Takeaways
  • Ways to improve operator speed and accuracy at all points in the service parts supply chain- from main DC operations to point-of-use stocking locations.
  • Methods to capture and track real-time inventory movements and usage at all points in the supply network.
  • Alternatives to merge information across the supply chain into a single real-time visibility platform.
