The value of industrial production in November 2013 higher than in the previous month and higher than in November 2012
In the past year, from November 2012 on, the value of industrial production was below the average of 2010. However, according to November 2013 data, industrial production increased above the mentioned average. Seasonally adjusted data show that in November 2013 the value of production of industrial products and services was 0.1% above the average of 2010. Since the beginning of 2013, industrial production has been less variable.
The value of industrial production increased in comparison with the previous month (October 2013) as well as in comparison with November 2012. In comparison with October 2013, industrial production in manufacturing increased by 1%, while in mining and quarrying and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by more than 1%.
According to main industrial groupings compared to the previous month, in November 2013 the value of industrial production in capital goods industries increased by almost 2% and in consumer goods industries by 1.5%, but in intermediate goods industries it decreased by 2.5%.


Turnover in industry in November 2013 lower than in the previous month
Turnover in November 2013 was slightly lower compared to October 2013 (by 0.1%) and compared to November 2012 it increased by the same per cent.
In comparison with October 2013, turnover in November 2013 was lower by 10,5% in mining and quarrying, while in manufacturing it remained unchanged.
It is perceived that in certain activities, for instance in manufacturing of electrical equipment, the increase in non-domestic turnover has the greatest impact on the increase in industrial production.
The value of stocks of industrial products in November 2013 higher than in the previous month
For the calculation of industrial production index besides turnover change in stocks also plays an important part. At the level of total industry, in November 2013 the value of stocks increased by half a per cent over the previous month. In manufacturing it increased almost by the same per cent and in mining and quarrying it decreased by half a per cent.
According to main industrial groupings, there is a slightly negative movement in intermediate goods industries and in capital goods industries, but in consumer goods industries stocks increased by more than 2%.
