By Exports, imports and net trade balance, December 2012:
In December 2012 Swedish exports of goods amounted to SEK 80.7 billion, while imports of goods amounted to SEK 80.0 billion. As a result, the net trade balance was SEK 0.7 billion.
Foreign trade in goods resulted in a net trade surplus of SEK 0.7 billion in December 2012 according to preliminary calculations. In December 2011 the net trade surplus was SEK 2.3 billion.
The value of exports in December 2012 amounted to SEK 80.7 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 80.0 billion. Compared to December 2011, exports decreased by 17 percent in value, while imports decreased by 16 percent. Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK10.6 billion, while the EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 9.9 billion.
The number of weekdays in December was 4 less compared to December 2011.
Seasonally adjusted, the net trade surplus amounted to SEK 5.1 billion in December 2012, compared to SEK 5.4 billion in November 2012. The corresponding figure for October was SEK 5.7 billion.
Net trade for 2012 showed surplus of SEK 69.9 billionDuring 2012, the value of exports and imports decreased by 4 percent each compared to 2011. Exports amounted to SEK 1168.6 billion, and imports were valued at SEK 1098.7 billion, resulting in a surplus net trade balance of SEK 69.9 billion for 2012. The corresponding surplus figure for 2011 was SEK 67.4 billion.
