Military and technical cooperation is a vital part of the Laos-Russia relations. It was announced by Sergei Shoigu in course a meeting with his Laotian counterpart Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Chansamone Chanyalath in Vientiane.
As Sergei Shoigu stressed, there has been an intensive work on implementation of reached agreements, including those of military sphere.
Russian Minister of defence noted that he was pleased with an opportunity to meet Chansamone Chanyalath and to visit Laos for the first time.
'Today's talks will continue the discussion we started in Moscow in April 2017 on state and prospects for military and technical cooperation', said Sergei Shoigu.
In his turn, Lieutenant General Chansamone Chanyalath stressed, that Russian and Lao armed forces are developing military cooperation. Relations between armed forces of the two countries can be called as brotherhood.
