PicoCluster LLC has partnered with PINE64 Inc., signaling a complete change of how the computer industry is perceived. PicoCluster LLC is a personal data center setting a standard for what it means to remove barriers to learning about and operating Big Data software. PINE64 is a Swiss Army knife of a computer, with world-class computer networking technology speeds.

“PicoCluster is a groundbreaking company that focuses on distributing computing,” said Johnson Jeng, PINE64 co-founder. “Since PicoCluster is a hardware manufacturer, it was one of the pieces of the puzzle we were trying to put in place.”

PicoCluster was kind enough to extend an invitation for the PINE64 to be on display at their booth, #70974 at the Sands, during the 2016 CES Show Wednesday through Saturday in Las Vegas. PINE64 will be there Thursday and Friday and PicoCluster, Wednesday through Saturday.

“We're very excited to be hosting PINE64 at the PicoCluster booth! It gives us another remarkable product to show. Their new board is a perfect fit for our product,” said Craig Brown, co-founder and CEO of PicoCluster LLC. “Our motto is 'Big Data in a Tiny Cube,’ and PINE64 makes this even more true. It makes our Big Data educational platform that much more powerful.”

PINE64, a Fremont, Calif.-based electronics startup, was launched early in 2015 to design and manufacture low-cost, single-board computers. By working with Android, Linux and openHAB, PINE64 has added compatible and preferred vendors to its network to focus on building and enhancing technology. It provides faster processors, faster networking and up to 2GB of RAM, all with extremely low energy usage.

Founders Jeng and TL Lim crowd-funded through Kickstarter, launching Dec. 9. The company surpassed its $31,416 goal in a mere three hours and raised more than $800,000. PINE64 is on track to push well past $1 million by Jan. 23, 2016, the end of the campaign.

Halfway into PINE64’s campaign, the annual International Consumer Electronics Show will take place Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nev. PINE64 has chosen specific strategic partners in various industries and fields to build a community behind it. It will be one of the top computing platforms for development and bringing affordable computing to the world.
