Kårstø is located at Tysvær in Rogaland county and is a processing facility for gas and condensate. The facility receives gas by pipeline from the North Sea and Norwegian Sea. After the wet gas products have been separated out, the dry gas is piped to Germany, while the wet gas products are transported from the facility by ship. Gassco is the operator of the plant while Statoil is the technical services provider (TSP).

Statoil has received consent to set up a new single-storey modular facility. It will contain a cloakroom, WC, IT room, dining room, meeting room and office modules. The construction will replace an older office module from the 1990s.

Consent is granted pursuant to Section 18-9 (1) of the Working Environment Act.

The work will be carried out by Eide Bygg & Anlegg AS of Haugesund.
