The Holiday Inn® at Houston Intercontinental Airport has begun a multimillion-dollar renovation to become the premier choice for travelers coming to and from the city.

Guests will soon be able to swipe their key into a stylish, calming room with comfortable bedding to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The new, state-of-the-art business center will provide business travelers with all of the amenities they need to work remotely and the option to host meetings in one of the hotel’s conference rooms that is equipped with the latest technology.

Whether traveling for leisure or business, the new Holiday Inn design will create authentic, unexpected and joyful moments throughout every aspect of the guests’ stay. To unwind or just for fun, guests will have the opportunity try out sand volleyball and tennis or sneak in a workout at the fitness center.

Nearly every inch of the 414-room hotel will be renovated, refreshed or redesigned, creating an ideal experience for travelers from the moment they walk into the lobby until they lay their head down at night.

Highlights include:

  • New Guestrooms: To ensure a comfortable stay, the flooring, walls, lighting, artwork, televisions, power outlets, furniture and beds will be replaced and upgraded, ensuring guests have the opportunity to relax as soon as they enter the room.
  • Fitness and Play Facilities: Whether it’s hitting the treadmill or hot tub, the hotel has unique amenities, such as new sand volleyball courts, a refurbished tennis court, an upgraded fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment will provide guests with a variety of fitness and recreational activities catered to the individual or family.
  • Getting Work Done: Business travelers can have their own remote office or schedule a conference at one of the multiple conference rooms on-site. The seven meeting and event rooms total more than 8,000 square feet to offer adaptable and customizable space for any occasion. Guests will also be treated to a redesigned lobby and an arrival lounge that offers quick access to plug-in and work in a comfortable environment.
  • Tasty Bites and Signature Drinks: New accessible, open shelving will allow guests to quickly “grab and go” from a variety of drinks and snacks throughout the day. A full-service bar and restaurant offering casual dining options ensures there is something for everyone.

Located on 15222 John F Kennedy Boulevard in Houston next to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the hotel will remain open during renovations, which are set to be completed by late 2019.
