On 14 January 2013, the Ministry of Treasury launched a series of meetings with representatives of circles interested in participating in the new government project, "Polish Investments". On 15 January 2013, an announcement was published in one of the national daily newspapers for the position of the management board's president of the Programme's special purpose vehicle, Polskie Inwestycje Rozwojowe.
