Jakarta, 16/01/2017 MoF - The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded an increase of 1.9 percent on Indonesia export in December, compared to November 2016, or reached USD13.77 billion. Non-oil and gas export for December 2016 reached USD12.54 billion or rose to 1.13 percent than the previous month. Meanwhile oil and gas export reached 11.66 percent or USD1.231 million.

Quoted from BPS' data on Monday (01/16), the highest increase on non-oil and gas export in December compared to November is in the mineral fuels for USD140.6 million (9.06 percent). The biggest decrease is in the jewelry/gems for USD132 million (32 percent). Oil and gas export is mainly supported by the rising of crude oil export for USD443.9 million (10.67 percent), oil product export for USD1.4 million (30.69 percent), and gas export for USD696.4 million (10.18 percent).

Cumulatively, Indonesia's export from January to December 2016 reached USD144.43 billion, or down by 3.95 percent over the same period in 2015. Meanwhile, the top three export destination countries in December were Chinese (USD1.86 billion), United States (USD1.46 billion) and Japan (USD1.24 billion), with the contribution of 36.39 percent, whereas, the export to the European Union (28 countries) reached USD1,43 billion.
