Ministry of Economy of Republic of Armenia : A memorandum will be signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan met the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov in Moscow.

'I am so happy that on the eve of the meeting of Prime Ministers of the two countries there is such a possibility to exchange views on a number of issues, including issues discussed with you during the forum 'Antikontrafakt-2016'. I want to express gratitude both for high level organization of this event and for meetings with the authorities of Armenia,' mentioned the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan said that this meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss and develop appropriate solutions to issues which will be accepted by the heads of the Governments of two countries. 'I would like to discuss several issues: cooperation in the field of agricultural machinery, the creation of a new airline based on SSJ 100, creation of a joint Armenian-Russian Fund the goal of which will be import substitution and joint export development,' mentioned Suren Karayan.

During the meeting the Ministers affirmed that a list of manufacturers is being formed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, interested federal executive bodies, leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery and financial sources of support for this project are being discussed.

Now activities are being implemented to establish joint projects with 'Sukhoi Civil Aircraft' JSC and 'Soglasie' JSC to launch Armenian national air transportation using SSJ 100 aircrafts. A joint working group with the participation of representatives of the parties of the project has already been formed and the project roadmap has been developed.

Within the framework of the meeting of Prime Ministers of the two countries a memorandum will be signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
