The first release will be the Intelligent Modbus Master, which acquires critical data from sensors and connected RTUs and feeds it over cellular to the IOT cloud or a SCADA system, making it particularly well suited for industrial and energy distribution - Feeder Automation, Overhead / Underground fault detection, Distribution Transformer monitoring.
In the Renewable Energy space, the Intelligent Modbus Master solution will support:
- Rooftop solar monitoring, acquiring and processing data from Inverters, string monitors and environment sensors to monitor the production efficiency of the plant
- Solar axis tracking to enhance the efficiency of the solar plant
- Distribution transformer monitoring for preventive maintenance of the distribution network
In 2018, we will support additional protocols such as: IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP RTU / DNP3 TCP, Modbus RTU/TCP to IEC 60870-5-104 and SEP 2.0 for even more varied applications.
Xavier DUPONT, CEO of M&F Holdings said:
“Our devices are
suited for Industrial application and we strive to embed a lot of
intelligence, mainly to ensure link stability and security. Since
M2M/IOT is all about integrating various heterogeneous systems, it is
often complicated. Maestro Wireless is committed to simplifying this
experience by providing Edge Computing and by supporting various
Industrial protocols natively on the Router."
All the above industrial protocol conversions, combined with the Secure VPN encryption and high speed 4G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet technology of the E228 simplifies integration with IOT portals and bridges the gap between conventional automation and modern IOT based methodologies.
