Hull Attends Business Owners Consulting Workshop

Lafayette, IN - Randolph F. Williams, President/CEO, is pleased to announce that Michael A. Hull, CFP ®, RFC ® at Lafayette Savings Bank has participated at the Business Owners Consulting Workshop in Indianapolis, IN.

Hull, Financial Advisor at Lafayette Savings Bank, and other financial consultants from across the United States and in seven countries, recently completed an advanced course to increase their capacity to serve owners of businesses and professional practitioners in the medical, legal and accounting consulting professions.

The workshop curriculum focused on several issues that are critical to the successful long term survival of a wide variety of businesses:
  • Market Value Analysis - to measure the true value of an enterprise now, and for the next ten years, for the purpose of measuring and reducing tax and legal obligations.
  • Funding Alternative - for the sale or retention of a small to medium sized business or professional practice, to continue services to customers and maintain employment.
  • Transition Strategies - design options to successfully pass business interests to key stakeholders, while maximizing family interest and minimizing estate duties.
  • Loan Cancellation - as businesses grow and expand, they generally borrow money and often there are no plans in place for the loan repayment in cases of emergency because collateral reserve arrangements have not been made.

The Business Owner Consulting Workshop was presented by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) a non-profit professional organization that serves 8,000 financial advisors in 23 countries. The IARFC, established in 1984, provides advanced education courses and practice management tools to those who meet the highest standards for experience, ethical conduct and rigorous continuing education requirements.
